Ann has enjoyed and shared a lifelong love of horses.  She grew up with them on our 10 acres from the age of 5.  Our first was the older sway-backed neighborhood horse, Bootsie, on whom Ann learned to ride (and who stopped if Ann started to slip).  Ann and a group of neighborhood friends had their own "Cavalry" to ride the pastures and explore the orange groves.

In Ann's later school years (Junior and Senior High School) she progressed to showing Hunters as a Junior with her first two horses, Thoroughbreds Iron Man and Willie.  Ann won many awards in Equitation and Hunter classes.  She shared all responsibilities of caring for the horses and with mother, Lori, took on trailering the horses to shows.  Iron Man lived out his life on the farm after retirement; Willie was sold to another rider to enjoy when Ann went away to college.
After college, marriage and two children, Ann is back into riding competitively in Hunter Shows.  Her first horse after returning was Aaxel, a big 17.1 hand Holsteiner (German warmblood) originally from Germany.  I will add here that Ann is 6 feet and needs a big horse and these two were a good match.  They did well with many more awards in Hunter and Equitation classes at shows in Arizona and California.  Now that Ann and her family have moved to Texas after husband Curtis retired from the Air Force (he was an F16 pilot, instructor and Squadron Commander), Aaxel has gone to another home and been replaced with a young Holsteiner, Cadet, thus starting their new partnership at shows.
